Since 1977 — From a Double Garage to a Dealership
1977
Josef Groß (master mechanic) starts his own business in Paulsdorf. Beginning in a double garage next to his mother’s gas station — together with one journeyman, Mr. Szameitat (still workshop manager in Paulsdorf today), and his wife in the office.
1978
Toyota dealership contract signed. New workshop built with a small showroom.
1984
Showroom expanded, with an apartment above.
1989
Christian Groß (son) joins the family business after his apprenticeship — master mechanic in 1994, later certified car salesman.
1992
Expansion with wash hall, paint shop and garage with apartment.
1999
Second Toyota branch built in Amberg, Dieselstraße 5 — today the main location for Toyota & Kia; opened in 2000.
2004/05
In-house driving school founded — the first dealership in Amberg with its own driving school. GmbH founded with Christian Gross joining as partner. The Paulsdorf shop becomes a Meisterhaft repair shop for all makes.
2009
Kia joins as the second brand — a wide model range from both manufacturers: Toyota in Amberg & Kia in Paulsdorf.
2014
Handover from Josef Groß to Christian Groß.
2015
New Kia showroom built in Amberg with a grand reopening.
2023
45 years of Autohaus Gross.
